The Erebus Team who conducted the Evaluation made the process very comfortable and rewarding. The way Tim and Bob conducted the interviews allowed for honesty and trust to flow from conversations. The work was done but it was conducted in a no fuss, non- threatening manner "which made the difference at our centre".
The awareness that Tim and Bob had of the Program was encouraging and they could pull all the aspects of the program together well. They were able to quickly summarize the contents of the conversations and succinctly express the major points.
Tim and Bob listened to each of the groups and especially to the community.
Tim and Bob were interested and this captured the people involved. They wanted to share their thoughts with them.
The approach was very professional, beneficial and encouraging. There was always honesty between Evaluation Team and SaCCs. All aspects of the Evaluation was made clear, time was given to explain the steps to the Evaluation and the Facilitator knew what were the expectations of the day. The Erebus Team did not assume that they knew the answers and they actively called for discussions continuously during the day. The Team lead the Evaluation and set the tone for the day. Their naturalness showed their professionalism and it made the difference to the day. The approach also allowed for reflection and evaluation itself. I think given the timing of the evaluation, the approach was exemplary.
